Great first experience, we will definitely make it a staple of our beach vacation. Fresh fish and seafood tacos and sandwiches. Loved the grilled shrimp and homemade margaritas. The owners are awesome and it seems like a great place to support. Definitely recommend!

I love the laid back vibe of this place. Very personable service. Open air restaurant. No A/C but the fans and open sliding glass doors somehow keep it comfortable inside. Outdoor picnic tables in the shade. Pet friendly. Beer, wine and mixed drinks available.

my family spent 1 week at Emerald Isle for vacation, and we came twice here because it was so good! great atmosphere, very laid back, and the food is excellent! i normally don’t eat seafood, but the fried flounder was amazing and the grouper was too. the owners were very much interested in making sure everybody had a great time, and the owner gave my little sister a cookie and the wife was very friendly. 11/10 recommend, if you are staying at Emerald Isle, you must come here!

My soft shell crab was amazing, peal and eat shrimp was phenomenal Service was great! Husband had crab cakes that where ok. So far best food we have had in the area! Awesome Menu selection.

Fish Hut is insanely perfect!This place is a gem and such an anomaly on the NC coast. Delicious fish, grilled and seasoned to perfection, with a casual island feel. Such a welcoming vibe with plenty of freshly squeezed cocktails to keep you relaxed. I only wish I lived closer because my beach has nothing remotely comparable. Thanks so much for a stellar experience!

DELICIOUS wings, peel and eat shrimp and mahi tacos....very loud and hard to talk inside but the service is friendly. No air conditioning so be prepared for that tooooo

Feels similar to island restaurants in the Bahamas. I’d give an extra star for the reggae music if I could. The fish bites are off the charts!

Great food but no togo orders. You stand in line order then sit down. They bring the food to you. Then pay as you leave. They have seating inside and outside. Behaved dogs are welcome.

I recently visited Fish Hut and my issues are as follows:1. Google indicated that take out was available, it was not.2. We were not able to make a togo at the register because we had to pay AFTER our food arrival. 3. No one was wearing a mask. Not the servers. Not the cooks. They were also not using social distancing as a precaution. This visit made me concerned for the health of the staff, the town, and myself during these uncertain times. Blessings.

Sent the below email to Fish Hut: To the owners of Fish Hut,I am writing to inform you of a very alarming experience I had recently at your establishment. While waiting for my food, I witnessed not a single kitchen employee wearing gloves. On top of this, there was a particular employee who ate a banana then proceeded to prepare food without washing his hands. He also dropped a piece of chicken from a salad that he was making and then ate the piece. I am appalled at what I saw. The food was quite tasty but after seeing the way that it was prepared with no precautions taken place, I am sickened. This is very disappointing, especially during a global pandemic. Please take the proper precautions moving forward before the health department gets involved. Sincerely,A concerned customer THE RESPONSE: “Thank you for the information” YOU’RE KIDDING. Extremely rude. Save yourself time and health.

Food was great. No attention to COVID-19 precautions. No masks, no gloves, no social distancing in place with any staff member or asked of customers. A bit scary, and shows disregard for the health of staff and customers.

Not even an attempt at COVID 19 safety compliance. Even if food is good the complete lack of any attempt for my safety and safety of staff means they will nevwr get my business. When COVID is history I will support businesses who tried to keep their staff and their customers healthy.

Ordered Grilled Shrimp on a salad. It was really good. This was our first time visiting the Fish Hut Grill.

Locally owned and operated. Incredible food and staff! Given the current situation, we certainly would like to have seen a little more social distancing. Ample outdoor dining available. FYI, No take out orders currently.

Scallops melt in your mouth and the chef has a great smile too - a sign of enjoying what he does. Casual environment, fresh seafood - well prepared, quick & friendly service. The owners are on to a good thing - good service, fresh seafood not overcooked, and they care about each customer. As I was leaving, walked by a man having flounder for the 1st time. Overheard him tell his wife " I had no idea a fish could be this good!Enjoy!

It was totally delicious! The whole family enjoyed the meal. The service was top notch also. I ordered the fish bites and enjoyed them.

I visited Fish Hut Grill for the first time today and it was amazing! The drinks are delicious and the service was fantastic. I can’t wait to come back!

If you have not been here, what are you waiting for??? Amazing food and service and great atmosphere!! And super pet friendly! One of the guys even brought my girl out of water for by the table. I'm addicted to their mahi burger!! Oh and did I mention their awesome adult beverage selection. Everything there is good though, they even have options for the littles. Definitely a must eat on the island!!

Fast service. Friendly wait staff. Outside seating in the breeze under the trees. Delicious lightly battered fresh shrimp!! Food arrived in under 10 minutes!!

The staff was incredibly nice, I cannot stress enough how nice. Fun atmosphere. We had red snapper (catch of the day) and grilled tuna over salad, everything was delicious. I would recommend the cheese curds as a side. This will be our new EI go to.

Fish Hut Grill has great food and reasonable prices which I would give 5 stars for. No one picks up the phone so I don't know how you can order over the phone!When you get there you may NOT be able to order to go. I was able to pickup once during the week around 3pm but they said they would not take my order and changed their mind! On the weekend I stood in a long line for a good while before someone taking drink orders told me that I can not order for takeout even if I wait my turn in line!

Girls beach Trip- Great meal for the first night. Excellent Ahi Tuna Tacos and Margaritas.

We ordered a lot just to have a small variety between the two of us. The blueberry jalapeño margaritas were delicious as a nice wait to be served drink before sitting and eating. The line moved quickly regardless of how intimidating it appears when you first come up. The staff are polite and quick. We got the shrimp tacos, ahi tacos, cheese curds, peel and eat shrimp and fried shrimp. We sat outside under the shade and quickly enough enjoyed our meal.

Super new island place to grub down. Totally enjoyed the staff and the open atmosphere. Perfect for a fall brew and tasty meal. The food was fantastic. Great job, guys...

Visited 7/17/2019 for dinner. Informal place primarily serving seafood. Order at counter, drinks on the honor system, food brought to the table--inside or outside--and pay at the end of the meal. I chose soft crab--as I do whenever I can--no bun. The spouse enjoyed her grilled shrimp.

Visiting on vacation with the family. Ordered a beverage while waiting in line and noticed that the entire staff (including chef/cook) were not wearing masks. We decided to only order drinks and not food, then the host/waiter at the door proceeded to attempt to belittle my family and I (using political propaganda) since I did not want to order food. If you believe in Govenor-issued mandates or science, I would not recommend this establishment.

We stopped by this place for lunch and it was so good we brought the parents back the next day for drinks and dinner!!! The seafood is so fresh as well as the cocktails!! I can’t sing enough praises, the man who took our orders was so pleasant and welcoming. The whole staff just has a friendly air about them. I recommend this to any and everyone in the area!! As for Covid precautions- it is our choice as patrons to stay or go, I don’t see the point in complaining! Outdoor seating is available and it’s easy enough to step back from the counter when ordering! We had the best time!

Food was fabulous, well cooked fish. The staff were amazing and they had an inviting atmosphere. We would definitely return. Excellent margaritas. Go spend your money there!
